1. Our Privacy-First Commitment
At ImageForge ("we", "our", or "us"), protecting the privacy of our visitors and users is our highest operational priority. This Privacy Policy outlines what information we collect, how we process digital media files, our data retention policies, and your rights under global privacy regulations including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and the UK Data Protection Act.
2. How Your Images are Processed
We have engineered our platform around a Browser-First Architecture:
- Client-Side Local Processing: Over 90% of our tool operations (including format conversions, canvas cropping, compression, EXIF stripping, color picking, and Base64 encoding) run entirely inside your web browser using HTML5 Canvas, Web Workers, and WebAssembly. Your images never leave your local device and are never transmitted across the network to our servers.
- Temporary Server-Side Fallback: In specific instances where your browser lacks modern API capabilities or when an operation requires server-side processing, files are transferred over TLS 1.3 encrypted HTTPS to an isolated temporary sandbox. These temporary files are processed immediately and are strictly scheduled for automatic deletion within 60 minutes. We never index, inspect, sell, or retain your images.
3. Information We Collect
We do not require user accounts, passwords, or credit cards to use our tools. We collect minimal data necessary to maintain service availability:
- Device & Network Data: IP address (anonymized in analytics), browser user-agent, operating system, and referral URLs.
- Operational Metrics: Aggregate counts of tool usage (e.g., number of successful conversions) without collecting file contents or identifying names.
- Communications Data: When you contact our support desk, we collect your name, email address, and message contents solely to address your inquiry.
4. Advertising & Google AdSense
To provide free, unlimited access to our image tools, we display advertisements provided by Google AdSense and third-party advertising partners.
- Google uses cookies to serve ads based on prior visits to our website or other websites on the Internet.
- Users in the European Economic Area (EEA) and the United Kingdom are presented with a Consent Management banner allowing them to opt in or opt out of personalized advertising.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting AboutAds.info or Google Ads Settings.
5. Analytics & Performance Tracking
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) with IP anonymization enabled to understand aggregate platform traffic, popular tool categories, and Core Web Vitals performance. Analytics cookies are deployed only in accordance with your consent preferences.
6. Your Rights Under GDPR & CCPA
Depending on your jurisdiction, you have the right to:
- Request confirmation of whether any personal data is processed.
- Request deletion of any personal data we hold about you.
- Opt-out of the sale or sharing of personal information (Note: We do not sell personal data).
